Work's been brain-draining, and I'd love to have more to natter on about here than co-worker complaints. Scheduling thirty days of posting prompts is a bit much, but if there's anything you'd like to see me talk about in December (fandoms, fic, life in Victoria/BC/Canada/general, writing, books, music, recipes, TV, assorted recs) comment below anytime this month and I will oblige.

Hi:

Anything you'd like to discuss about your fic The Fisher King.

Because I know that's ridiculously broad, here're some jumping off points, if you want them, in no particular order:
1. Anything about sexuality and disability, because they're very tightly intertwined in Moody's character.
2. How you managed not to make this fic squicky beyond belief. When I reached the section where Percy was five, and realized their connection went back that far, I would have bailed if:
A.: It wasn't you writing.
B.: You hadn't just had a fantastic scene with Rufus.
And C.: I hadn't really, really adored your Moody characterization a few paragraphs back.
But I didn't, and it wasn't squicky. Writing cross-gen with that large of a gap and having it be believable is something I struggle with.
3. The ending. You wrote somewhere that your ending would have been different, if not for being in the fest you wrote it for? (If you wrote no such thing, sorry!:) If so, how, if you can remember?
4. Percy himself; it was one of the most spot-on Percy pov. Any thoughts about getting inside Percy's head?
And 5, just because one will never know if one never asks. The conversation between Rufus and Moody that Percy ostentatiously doesn't eavesdrop on; if you know, what was it about? With my minor character predilections, Percy's conscientious attention to work had me tearing my hair out!:)

Thanks so much for doing this, and giving us such a broad scope.
