What's Making Me Happy Today: Dimension 20 Gladlands

Between this and Flight of the Icaron, I'm being very well fed on the actual-play front this week.

Gladlands is the latest campaign from the folks at Dimension 20, a six-episode comedy about intentional community in a post-apocalyptic irradiated wasteland. The homebrew elements are fantastic and include an ability set consisting of Charm, Warmth, Creativity, Awareness, Resilience, and Determination (with the Warmth rolls being especially interesting in what might otherwise seem like low-stakes encounters) and a system for tracking the overall vibe. The first episode is ridiculous, inspiring, and includes a bit about cannibalism that made me laugh so hard I cried.

Oh my goddddddd, I can't wait!!! I had to miss the premiere due to work but I'm looking forward to watching over the weekend. The cast is such a dreamteam - I was hoping for Vic in the dome and when they save their announcement for last I just *knew* aaaa.

I really hope you enjoy it when you get there! And 100%, it's such a fantastic cast, especially for a premise like this. When the announcements started rolling out and so many Yeti members were in it, I was crossing my fingers for Vic, and so far they've been an absolute delight.

We really are getting fed well for sure this month. Did you see the AP for Gladlands yet? I laughed so hard. XD

I did! I sometimes lag in catching up with Adventuring Party, but in this case I really wanted to know more about the homebrew elements. It was just the right combination of delightful chaos and game info, especially once it got to worldbuilding their next destination.

I really loved how they did the worldbuilding right there in the AP, so good (although yes the initial chaos was absolutely silly and wonderful).

It's such a great cast! They're obviously having a lot of fun together, and so far the out-of-character chat is just as funny as the game.
