Oh Korra, you are such a dumbass. Hey, Tonraq - maybe if you'd sheltered your daughter less, she would have some rudimentary radar for fascists. Because that's kind of a useful thing for an Avatar to have.

That said, I could watch Air Family drama all day. I love how realistically the dynamic shifts between the siblings: the two non-Airbenders versus daddy's heir, the two benders versus the only non-bender in the family, two brothers versus a sister, the two settled ones versus the nomad. I hope too that we see the subject raised of how Tenzin would parent Rohan if it turns out he's a non-bender or Earthbender.

(But I could seriously have done without the implication in Bolin's storyline that it's funny and harmless when a girl threatens a boy with violence when he tries to break up. It wouldn't fly the other way around, and it's not cool.)

I was also disappointed by the substance of Korra's mom's appearance. I'm still not personally sold on the revelation about Tonraq's past, and I'm feeling like this setup would be working much better for me if Korra's parents were still the everyday people we saw in the first season - if this tension wasn't coming from the division between two princes of the north and south, but from the division between public figures like Unalaq (and Korra) and normal citizens trying to exert ownership over their own communities.

Seriously, what should happen is Tenzin should talk things over with Lin about whether he's being a jerk to his siblings (of course she would say yes. :P).

I so hope we get to see Lin interacting with Bumi and Kya. I'd kind of love it if, against type, Lin and Bumi get along famously and go drinking together whenever Bumi's in town - or if Lin and Kya had an epic girlhood friendship and Kya still writes her from everywhere she travels.

Also, reading in one of the other communities, I just now realized that how horrible it is for Mako to be talking about how easy it is to dump girls with what happened between him and Asami.

Yes! yes! Yes! Oh man, if this were to happen it would make me so happy.

I do really want to see Lin interacting with Bumi and Kya, it makes me wonder if she ever gave Tenzin a hard time about his interactions with them, I believe she would. Eeeee, I could totally see Kya writing letters to Lin while she was off "discovering herself." Yay!

I would have also really liked to seen more from the viewpoint of the citizens, like the people who did actually go through with kidnapping Unalaq.
