Nominations

You can nominate up to 20 ships, in 10 fandoms as well as 20 songs.

Be sure to disambiguate your nominations in case of wandering tags. Please also be sure that any disambiguation is clear even if one is unfamiliar with the fandom. With the recent increase in character limit, spelling out the fandom completely is usually possible and preferred. If you are unable to spell out the fandom name entirely, choose an abbreviation that features key words over simply letters.

Relationships are distinguished by either a / or &. For ships with a /, this denotes a romantic and/or sexual relationship between the characters. For ships with a &, this denotes a platonic relationship between the characters. Mixed relationship requests are not permitted.

For single character requests, use the prefix 1: with a space between the colon and the character’s name.

Original Work tags can be filled with any combination of genders unless the gender is denoted in the tag. If the gender of the characters matters to you, please bake it into the tag.

• Horseback Rider/Stable Hand (Original Work) — Can be filled with any combination of genders
• Horseback Rider/Stable Hand (M/F) (Original Work) — Male horseback rider and female stable hand
• Female Horseback Rider/Female Stable Hand — Both characters are female

Crossovers should be nominated under Crossover Work, and each character should be disambiguated.

Creator's Choice of Fandom requests should be formatted with the understanding that if canonical types are being requested, they should be labeled as such in nomination.

• Any Canon Male Vampire (CCoF) - Canonical vampires only
• Any Male Vampire (CCoF) - Canonical vampires or alternate universe

RPF is allowed. All nominated people must be over the age of 18 and famous in their own right. Politicians and criminals who were alive since 1900 are not allowed. RPF nominations made in bad taste may be deleted at mod discretion.

Songs will act as the freeforms and prompts for this exchange. Nominate all songs as Artist - Song Title so all nominated songs from one artist are grouped together.

Any nominations that are unclear will be queried as necessary in a post on the community. No nominations will be rejected until the end of the nominations period to give participants an opportunity to edit nominations that would have been rejected. Please be sure to check the community if you have nominations that are lingering on being approved.

Signups

To be guaranteed a gift, you must request three unique fandoms with at least one relationship and three songs each. You may request the same fandom multiple times or request less than three unique fandoms but the collection will not be held if you are a lingering pinch hit.

Requests must also select a minimum of one medium. Medium options are currently fanfiction, fanart, and podfic.

Optional details should include any Do Not Wants you may have, which should be clearly labeled as Do Not Wants or DNW. Only DNWs included in the optional details box will be enforced. DNWs that are only in a letter will not be enforced if a creator includes them. DNWs can not be used to box your creator into creating one specific thing for you.

• DNWs should be neutrally stated. No explanation is needed for why you have a DNW. How to handle canonical brushes with your DNWs can be helpful if necessary.
• If you do not have any DNWs, please state this in your optional details.

Other optional details such as prompts and likes are optional and may or may not be included in your gift at your creator’s discretion.

Creator’s Choice of Fandom requests may include three specific fandom DNWs but may not DNW umbrellas, such as video games or RPF. Requests may include suggestions on canon type in optional details but it is not guaranteed.

Requests will be viewable on the app throughout the signup period. Please use the app to help make yourself matachable during signups. If you are unmatchable at the end of signups, you will be contacted via the email associated with your AO3 account. You will have 24 hours to respond with additional offers or your signup will be deleted.

Assignments & Treats

Matching will be based on fandom, ship, medium, and song.

Assignments will be out within 48 hours of signups closing. Assignments will be delivered to the email associated with your AO3 account. You can check what email you signed up with in your account settings. You can also view them on your My Assignments page.

Fanfiction should be a minimum of 1,000 words and a new, complete work. It may not be a sequel or part of a series unless your recipient has opted in to such works.

Fanart should be a complete work in your own style. Hand drawn art should be on unlined paper. There should be a clear connection between the prompt and the art.

• Since there are many standards of what constitutes a complete work, artists will be entrusted to post something they deem complete. Art will only be checked against the artist’s usual style if a recipient contacts the mods after works reveals that the art seems incomplete.

Podfic should be either a recording of an existing work of at least 1,000 words that meets all matching criteria or a recording of a new work written by the creator of at least 500 words. If you choose to record an existing work written by someone else, they must have a permission statement on their account or your must obtain permission to record their work.

Works can be created for any request made by the recipient, not just the one you matched on. If you somehow receive an assignment with requests that do not match what you offered, please contact the mod as soon as possible.

Assignments are anonymous. Please do not publicly discuss your assignment or post about your work until author reveals occur. You may privately discuss your work with a friend or beta, but be sure they understand that assignments are anonymous as well.

Anyone may create treats for this event, even if they aren’t signed up. Treats do not have to meet the assignment minimums but must respect DNWs. Treats will not become main gifts unless the creator also claims any Pinch Hit that may go out for the recipient.

Assignment Deadline

If you are unable to complete your assignment, please default as soon as possible. This can be done by clicking the default button on your My Assignments page. If you default and do not have a gift at the deadline, your request will not go out for a pinch hit. You may still receive a gift in the collection but it is not guaranteed. There is no penalty for defaulting before the deadline.

Please keep your timezone in mind when it comes to the posting deadline or refer to the countdown in the current pinned post.

Works must be posted and complete at the deadline. You may edit between the deadline and reveals but please be sure that even if you made no edits, the work posted would be an acceptable gift.

Pinch Hits & Work Reveals

Initial Pinch Hits will be posted within 48 hours of assignments going out. These pinch hits will be due at the regular deadline. To claim a pinch hit, you will be able to either post a screened comment on the Initial Pinch Hits post or email the mod.

If there are any participants that still do not have gifts at the Assignment Deadline, Post Deadline Pinch Hits will be posted. If these are not filled by the Work Reveals date, reveals will be delayed by a week, with continued delays as necessary.

Creators that requested less than three unique fandoms will be included in any Pinch Hit posts but the collection will only be held for creators that completed their assignment and requested at least three unique fandoms.

Works will be anonymously revealed once all qualified participants have a complete gift. Works will remain anonymous for a week.

Commenting is not required but it is highly encouraged.

If there is a problem with your gift, such as a DNW being included or not featuring a requested ship, contact the mod as soon as possible so a replacement gift can be created for you.
