It's sort of both a yes and no for reading in this genre. Fantasy was my go-to from the time I was a kid until I was out of university. I especially went for urban/low/hidden-world fantasy, similar to this. But I fell off it for a while, and I think for at least the last decade and a half most of my fantasy reading has been in comics rather than novels.
In terms of age/reading level, I rarely read children's or young adult literature, so it was really interesting to browse through a bunch of more recent books for this bingo square and to read this one.
